01   The Kurohana Experience

Less spectacle.
More presence.

Kurohana is an intimate twelve-seat counter shaped by seasonality. Each course is prepared in view, allowing temperature, texture, and timing to lead the evening.

Our menu draws from Edomae tradition while moving with the produce, waters, and rhythms of California.

Seasonal by nature

The menu begins
before you arrive.

Fish is selected each morning. Rice is seasoned for each service. Vegetables and aromatics reflect the fleeting character of the week. No two evenings are exactly alike.

“The space between courses is part of the meal.”

Built around a single hinoki counter, Kurohana brings guests close to the craft without losing the quiet of the experience. Every material was chosen to soften the room and focus attention on the plate.
